About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during examinations, ensuring to communicate each step clearly and empathetically
• Work hand-in-hand with radiologists and other medical staff to produce exemplary diagnostic images
• Efficiently operate and uphold imaging equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues
• Maintain thorough documentation of examinations and patient interactions within the electronic health record system
• Engage in continuous education regarding advancements and best practices in ultrasound technology

Education and Credentials

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related discipline
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Required Certifications

• Valid certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• Preferred: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
