Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Positions are available for the upcoming 26/27 academic year, with placements in the vibrant regions surrounding Flint, including Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit. As a dedicated SLP, you’ll play an essential role in helping students overcome communication challenges and thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid (or pending) Michigan SLP licensure; proof of application required if pending.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with official university transcripts.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows may be considered.
• Comfortable working onsite and traveling between school sites.
• Ability to collaborate compassionately with students, families, and educational teams.
• Sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of urban students; be prepared to discuss resources and challenges in supporting diverse populations.
• Experience with AAC systems and a variety of therapeutic approaches is valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to individuals and small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster students’ progress and integrate language support into classroom activities.
• Participate actively in IEP and MET meetings, creating individualized goals for students.
• Thoroughly document progress and maintain compliance with legal and district standards.
• Provide professional development and in-service training for staff on language development and intervention strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations.
• Support AAC users and oversee equipment and material needs across sites.
