Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment at a regional hospital, requiring an active MI RN license and at least one year of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a 202-bed regional hospital
• Provides 24/7 care for critically ill, unstable patients
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Possible on-call requirements
• Floating to similar units required

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission (compact license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required (float experience not considered)
• EKG experience required
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• Neuro, CVICU, or Trauma experience preferred
• Experience managing ventilators preferred
• CRRT and balloon pump experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for managing life-support equipment, titrating IV drips, and interpreting vital signs
• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and administer medications
• Coordinate advanced patient care with a multidisciplinary medical team
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Facility enforces a strict attendance policy allowing no more than 3 absences or late arrivals
• Local candidates within a 35 mile radius are considered local travelers with adjusted pay rates
• Former full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment
