Technical Project Lead

About the Job JPI has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Lead to join our Operations Support Center team. The Technical Project Lead will be responsible for proactively assessing future risks of each project to the Operations team and communicating those with the OSC Team and Field Team. The position will report to the Technical Project Manager. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Review and finalize plans and maintain active day‑to‑day involvement with OSC Team; ensure a clear path for execution of PlanA with excellent communication with Site Construction Managers. Deliver trade‑specific PreCon onsite meeting agendas to Site Construction Managers to ensure Plan adherence. Track and resolve construction issues from field tickets in a timely and complete manner. Lead execution risk assessment and develop PlanB’s; ensure the de‑risking process is complete with all necessary RFI’s/ASI’s resolved in a timely manner; identify chokepoints and risks, develop plans to coordinate around issues; monitor dashboard daily for trends impacting the Plan, diagnose root causes and direct OSC resource support and realignment on subcontractor performance; create PlanB’s/Recovery plans as needed; coordinate OSC resources to fully support obstacles and opportunities; develop and coordinate OSC support of wet‑weather mitigation pre‑planning; utilize digital technology to solve technical issues affecting the project; ensure the Day1 Startup checklist is completed on NTP day. Manage the RFI Process: draft and submit RFI’s, ensure RFI’s are answered promptly and by correct consultants, distribute RFI’s to appropriate subs, inform the Commercial Lead of potential cost implications. Complete AHJ Precon: ensure project turnover phasing and sequencing is approved by the jurisdiction; align fire inspector startup requirements with phasing and OPC plan; contract 3rd party consultants with appropriate inspection type and frequency per the plan minimum or JPI standard; usher AHJ through 3rd party inspection adoption. Ensure submittals are reviewed and approved for installation per plan: support CO review process, coordinate with Site Construction Manager to verify change order work is valid, manage change order disputes. Support CO review process: verify change orders, associate with RFIs, send to Commercial Lead for Procore approval, notify Site Construction Manager to proceed. Policies, Forms, Templates and Reports: OPC Scheduling SOP, Bluebeam, PlanB Procedure, Digital Workflow Dashboard, Pre Wet‑Weather Mitigation, RFI Log, Change Order Template. Other duties as assigned. Education, Work Experience & Physical Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years’ experience in a business or professional setting (inclusive of non‑profit or government roles). Proven experience in an executive support role or similar position. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficiency in using business software and tools, including MS Office and project management applications. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
