Warehouse SupervisorThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable management of warehouse operations supporting an underground mining operation. This position oversees the receipt, storage, inventory control, issuing, and replenishment of maintenance parts, supplies, materials, and equipment required to support mine production and maintenance activities.The Warehouse Supervisor ensures critical parts and supplies are available when needed while maintaining accurate inventory records, appropriate stock levels, organized storage areas, and strong controls over materials and costs. The position works closely with Mine Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other site departments to ensure uninterrupted support of underground mining activities.Responsibilities include supervising the day-to-day activities of the mine warehouse, ensuring maintenance parts and supplies are readily available to support underground mining and surface maintenance activities, establishing and maintaining an organized warehouse layout, ensuring materials are properly labeled, identified, stored, and protected from damage, contamination, deterioration, or loss, coordinating the movement of parts and materials between the warehouse, surface facilities, and underground work areas as required, establishing appropriate storage practices for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, mobile equipment, and other maintenance-related parts and supplies, monitoring critical and high-value inventory and ensuring appropriate controls are in place, maintaining accurate inventory records through the site's ERP, CMMS, or inventory-management system, establishing and monitoring minimum/maximum stock levels, reorder points, and critical spare requirements, conducting cycle counts and periodic physical inventories and investigating discrepancies, identifying obsolete, excess, slow-moving, and critical inventory and recommending appropriate actions, working with Maintenance and Purchasing to identify critical spare parts and ensure appropriate availability, monitoring inventory accuracy and developing corrective actions when inventory variances occur, ensuring parts are properly catalogued and that duplicate or incorrectly identified items are minimized, maintaining accurate records for serialized, controlled, and high-value components where applicable, working closely with Mine Maintenance and Planning personnel to ensure parts are available for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, reviewing upcoming maintenance requirements and identifying potential parts shortages before they affect equipment availability, supporting maintenance planning by ensuring required parts and materials are staged and available when needed, coordinating urgent and emergency parts requirements to minimize equipment downtime, developing strong working relationships with maintenance supervisors, planners, mechanics, electricians, and other mine personnel, assisting with identifying recurring parts requirements and opportunities to improve equipment reliability through better inventory planning, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and system records, inspecting materials for quantity, condition, specifications, and damage, resolving receiving discrepancies and coordinating with Purchasing and suppliers as required, working with Procurement to establish appropriate stocking strategies and supplier requirements, monitoring supplier performance related to delivery accuracy, lead times, and material quality, and assisting with sourcing difficult-to-obtain or critical maintenance components when required.The above responsibilities are representative and may not include all assigned duties.Education and Experience includes a high school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Materials Management, or a related field is preferred, relevant warehouse, inventory, maintenance, or mining certifications are considered an asset, 5+ years of progressive warehouse, inventory, materials-management, or logistics experience, preferably within mining, heavy industry, manufacturing, or another industrial environment, 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience managing warehouse or materials personnel, demonstrated experience managing maintenance parts, industrial supplies, equipment components, or MRO inventory, experience working with an ERP, CMMS, or computerized inventory-management system, experience with inventory control, cycle counting, stock-level management, receiving, issuing, and purchasing processes, experience supporting maintenance or operations in an industrial environment, demonstrated ability to prioritize critical parts and materials in a time-sensitive operating environment, and experience with forklifts, material-handling equipment, warehouse racking, and safe storage practices.Equal Employment OpportunityThe Company is an equal employment opportunity employer committed to providing employment opportunities to employees and applicants in accordance with all applicable laws.
