Our teams support customers across North America with advanced solutions spanning Foundry Mold and Core Making, Sand Processing, Bulk Material Handling, Automation, 3D Ceramic Printing, Surface Treatment, and Surface Technologies.A day in this roleYour morning begins on the shop floor, positioning large machine bases and staging sub-assemblies for final assembly. You’ll coordinate base placement with other departments to meet floor space needs and schedules, set bases per blueprint drawings, and operate cranes and related material handling devices to move and place components safely.Midday, you’ll dive into final assembly: using hand tools to bring together sub-assemblies and build out complete machines per engineering drawings. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers to resolve any build challenges that surface.Throughout the day, you’ll troubleshoot newly assembled equipment at key milestones, spot unforeseen issues early, and uphold stringent safety practices for yourself and the team.When hydraulic systems are involved, you’ll assist with installation—bending piping and tubing, making hoses, identifying fittings, and completing threading on black piping.As projects near completion, you’ll support Engineering and Sales during customer run‑offs with your assembly expertise, then disassemble equipment and load it onto trucks for shipment.What you’ll doPosition machine bases; stage sub-assemblies for final build.Coordinate base placement with department space and schedule requirements.Place bases according to blueprints; move and set materials with cranes and similar devices.Assemble complete equipment per engineering drawings using hand tools.Partner with engineers to resolve build issues.Troubleshoot equipment during assembly to identify unforeseen problems.Practice safe work habits consistently.Assist with hydraulic installs: bend piping/tubing, make hoses, identify fittings, and complete threading on black piping.Support customer run‑offs with Engineering and Sales; disassemble and load equipment for shipping.QualificationsEducation/Experience: High School diploma or GED and five–ten years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Skills:3+ years manufacturing experienceIndustrial machine/part building experienceBlueprint readingPrecise measuring abilitiesPreferred Skills:Prior hydraulic and pneumatic experience strongly preferredWelding experienceMachine maintenance and repair experienceProficiency checkPneumatics ExperienceHydraulics ExperiencePneumatics TroubleshootingAbout Roberts Sinto CorporationFounded over 50 years ago, Roberts Sinto designs and manufactures equipment for foundry, surface treatment, and material handling markets.
