Insulation Installation Technician - Team Lead

What You’ll Do Lead a 2 person install crew on residential projects Execute and oversee: Insulation and air sealing Attic ventilation systems (baffles, photovoltaic fans) Crawlspace encapsulation Mold remediation treatments Review job scopes and ensure proper preparation Manage materials, equipment, and job logistics Train and mentor technicians Communicate with office and sales teams Solve job site challenges in real time Equipment, Vehicle & Jobsite Logistics Operate company trucks/trailers and/or box trucks daily Confidently: Hook up and disconnect trailers Back up trailers into tight residential spaces (driveways, job sites) Navigate routes efficiently with crew and equipment Ensure all materials and equipment are properly loaded and secured Maintain organization, accountability & scheduled maintenance of tools and equipment What We’re Looking For Required Experience 3–5+ years in insulation, weatherization, or related trade Proven experience leading a crew Hands-on experience with: Insulation and air sealing Ventilation systems (baffles, airflow, fans) Experience with crawlspace encapsulation and/or mold remediation preferred Leadership Traits Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to manage and hold a crew accountable High attention to detail Professional communication Requirements Ability to work in attics and crawlspaces Ability to lift 75+ lbs Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and background check (required) OSHA 10/30 Certification (required) Experience driving trucks and towing trailers (required) Travel Requirements This role requires approximately 25% travel, primarily throughout Michigan to support project demand Occasional overnight stays are expected based on project location Responsible for coordinating crew travel logistics, including: Transportation of team and equipment Job site readiness upon arrival Company provides: Hotel accommodations Per diem for meals (per company policy) Travel schedules are communicated in advance when possible and aligned with project timelines Travel opportunities are typically tied to larger or specialized projects and may provide additional hours or incentive opportunities Compensation & Benefits $25–$29/hour (based on experience) Performance bonuses (production, quality, efficiency, companywide incentives) Health benefits + 401(k) with match PTO + advancement opportunities Why This Role Is Critical You are responsible for crew performance, job quality, and operational efficiency.
