Queens, New York – Close to JFK Airport / South Shore
Position Overview\nA community hospital in Queens is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist to join its team. This permanent, employed position focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic bone diseases.

Clinical Responsibilities\nPatient Care:

Provide comprehensive care for patients with endocrine disorders, including history taking, physical exams, diagnostic evaluation, and individualized treatment planning
\n - \n
Manage patients with diabetes, including lifestyle counseling, medication management, and insulin therapy
\n - \n
Diagnose and treat thyroid disorders (e.g., hypo/hyperthyroidism, nodules)
\n - \n
Evaluate and manage pituitary disorders, including growth hormone deficiency, Cushing’s syndrome, and prolactinomas
\n - \n
Diagnose and treat adrenal disorders such as Addison’s disease and adrenal insufficiency
\n - \n
Manage metabolic bone diseases, including osteoporosis and osteomalacia
\n
Collaboration & Education:

Work closely with primary care physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other specialists to coordinate care
\n - \n
Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and self-management strategies
\n - \n
Participate in hospital committees, quality improvement projects, and professional development activities
\n
Administrative:

- \n
Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
\n - \n
Engage in continuing medical education and stay current with advancements in endocrinology
\n
Education & Training:
\n- \n

MD or DO from an accredited medical school
\n - \n
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
\n - \n
Completion of an accredited fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
\n
Certification & Licensure:
\n- \n
- \n
Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism (ABIM or AOBIM)
\n - \n
Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in New York
\n
