Outpatient Medical Oncologist \n

Queens, New York (Near JFK Airport | South Shore)

Position Overview\n

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate Outpatient Medical Oncologist to join a multidisciplinary cancer care team in Queens, New York. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based oncology care in an ambulatory setting, with inpatient consult responsibilities as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• \n

  Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with solid tumors and/or hematologic malignancies

\n
• \n

  Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care

\n
• \n

  Oversee infusion therapy and monitor treatment response and toxicity

\n
• \n

  Provide inpatient oncology consultations as needed

\n
• \n

  Coordinate multidisciplinary care with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and primary care

\n
• \n

  Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case conferences

\n
• \n

  Educate patients and families on diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, and available clinical trials

\n
• \n

  Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EMR

\n
• \n

  Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including NYS Department of Health requirements

\n
• \n

  Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to national oncology guidelines (e.g., NCCN)

\n
• \n

  Optional involvement in clinical research and/or academic teaching

\n

Qualifications\n

\n
• \n

  MD or DO from an accredited medical school

\n
• \n

  Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology

\n
• \n

  Completion of Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship

\n
• \n

  Eligible for or active New York State medical license

\n
• \n

  DEA registration

\n
• \n

  Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based medicine

\n
• \n

  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

\n

Preferred Qualifications\n

\n
• \n

  Prior outpatient oncology experience

\n
• \n

  Participation in clinical trials or translational research

\n
• \n

  Academic affiliation or interest in teaching

\n
• \n

  Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, or other commonly spoken NYC languages)

  Base salary: $400,000–$450,000 , plus productivity incentives
