Sr Ramp Controller

Monitors, directs and controls the movement of all aircraft on the FedEx Express ramp areas and coordinates this activity with the appropriate department. Essential Functions Monitors, directs and controls the movement of all aircraft on the company‑owned ramp areas and coordinates this activity with the appropriate department. Completes special reports and projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Air Traffic Control or related degree. Must possess FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) License/Credentials, FAA Collegiate Training Initiative (CTI) Certificate, or Airport/Airline Ramp Tower Operator Certificate. The CTI certificate can satisfy the bachelor’s degree/equivalent requirement. Minimum Experience Three (3) years’ experience as a fully certified Control Tower Operator in an FAA/Military Air Traffic Control Facility or Airport/Airline Ramp Tower Operator. CTI certification satisfies the three‑year experience requirement. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong planning, organizing, decision‑making, and communication skills. Job Conditions Must have 20/20 or correctable to 20/20 vision, ability to work in a time‑sensitive environment, non‑covered safety‑sensitive position, and ability to work in a constant state of alertness with significant attention to detail in a time‑critical environment.
