Summer Internship - Commodity Trading

Tampa International Forest Products (TIFP) is a leading forest products trading company built for driven, entrepreneurial people. Our traders run their own desks sourcing products, building relationships, analyzing markets, and closing deals. No two traders operate the same, creating a fast-paced, hands-on, business-minded environment.

Our summer internship program gives students real exposure to the commodities trading industry. Interns work across multiple departments, gaining a broad understanding of the lumber business and what it takes to succeed as a trader at TIFP. The most successful interns are curious, motivated, and eager to learn by doing. This is an in-office internship (not remote).

What You'll Do

• Learn the fundamentals of commodity trading and forest products
• Gain exposure to logistics, sales, and market dynamics
• Build relationships and shadow experienced traders
• Develop industry knowledge through hands-on experience

Who You Are

• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable with Excel, Word, and Google Docs
