Housed in the former school bus garage on Lincoln in Birmingham's Rail District, Lincoln Yard and Little Yard are a one-two punch of punchy casual dining in an area that's all about repurposing. We're assembling a unique, anything-but-ordinary team to bring these two equally unique joints to life!For 28 years, Union Joints has put the independent approach to practice at local originals like the Clarkston Union, Union General, Union Woodshop, Vinsetta Garage, Fenton Fire Hall, Honcho, Gran Castor, Bunkhouse, Union Assembly, Mom's Spaghetti and Union Rec. This role serves to expedite the restaurant floor and seat guests in a timely manner.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Removes all dishes and other items from table following the mealCleans and prepares table for new guests in accordance to the Joint's standardsPerforms cleaning side work as assignedCompletes all service paperwork as requiredSupports waiters and kitchen staff in other duties as requiredPerforms other work-related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)The minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items (dishes, tubs, etc.)Previous restaurant experience strongly preferredHigh energy and stamina are requiredAbility to stay calm and work efficiently under pressureAbility to prioritize job duties and manage time effectivelyStrong verbal communication skills requiredWillingness to work evenings and weekends as requiredExcellent customer service to treat patrons like familyAbility to read menus, safety documents, and other work-related documentsPhysical Demands And Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
