Estimator/Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Responsible for preparing accurate project estimates and managing project execution for civil construction, energy, infrastructure, and environmental projects. Oversees project costs, schedules, resources, client communication, and bid preparation to ensure successful project delivery. Review plans, specifications, and drawings to define project scope and requirements.Essential FunctionsReview project plans, specifications, drawings, and related documentation to determine scope, schedule, and technical requirements.Prepare detailed cost estimates and develop competitive bids, including analysis of labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, market conditions, overhead, and risk factors.Coordinate with leadership, engineers, field personnel, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support estimating accuracy, project feasibility, and successful execution.Maintain organized records of estimates, takeoffs, proposals, contracts, revisions, and project documentation.Monitor project costs, schedules, milestones, and performance metrics; identify risks and recommend corrective actions as needed.Support project startup, resource coordination, procurement planning, and communication between office and field teams.Interface with client systems and project management platforms, including Procore, Ariba, and other customer-specific portals.Participate in client meetings, project reviews, subcontractor negotiations, and job site visits as needed.Track bid results, project performance, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement initiatives.Comply with all company policies, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications3+ years of estimating and/or project management experience preferred.Experience in civil construction, energy, infrastructure, or environmental projects preferred.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.Strong knowledge of construction drawings, estimating, scheduling, and cost control.Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and project management platforms.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as neededWorking ConditionsCombination of office and field environments.Periodic travel to project sites and client meetings.Extended computer and document review work. #J-18808-Ljbffr SYRACUSE UTILITIES LLC
