Based in New York, NY, we are a growing full-service law firm with over 60 experienced attorneys known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The firm is expanding and seeking experienced Lateral Partners across multiple practice areas to join a dynamic team building sophisticated practices in Corporate Transactions, M&A, Intellectual Property, Patent, Banking, Finance, Litigation, and Real Estate. This role is ideal for established rainmakers and business developers who value client relationships entrepreneurial growth and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a portable book of business generating consistent revenue and expanding the firm's client base in New York
- Lead client relationships practice development and business generation efforts across your practice area with strategic vision and execution
- Supervise associate attorneys case strategy and matter execution while mentoring junior partners and associates on business development and client service
- Collaborate with firm leadership on practice growth strategic initiatives and maintaining the firm's reputation for delivering exceptional client-focused results
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-approved law school with an active New York license in good standing
- Established portable book of business of $500k+ in annual revenue (ideally $1M+) with demonstrated ability to originate and maintain client relationships in New York
- Strong organizational communication and business development skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Proven track record in Corporate Transactions, M&A, Intellectual Property, Patent, Banking, Finance, Litigation, or Real Estate with expertise in building and scaling a practice
