CVICU/CTICU Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position requires working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM.

Job Description

The CVICU/CTICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients sustaining fresh open heart cases, including those on post-operative day zero. The right candidate must be adept in an acute care setting and possess the necessary skills to handle complex cardiac cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the CVICU/CTICU.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to complications.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BSN degree is required.
• Active RN license is required.
• ACLS and BLS certification are mandatory.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
