About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Kansas

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Overland Park, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48 hours guaranteed per week; 4 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) required per 4-week period; Day and night shifts available

Highlights:

• Work in a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit within a well-equipped acute care environment
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with robust clinical support from PCTs and charge nurses
• EMR: Meditech; equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, and vein finders
• Perform a wide range of procedures including IV management, central lines, wound care, chest tube management, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Preferred experience at trauma centers; strong focus on acute inpatient care
• Professional dress code: royal blue scrubs or black pants

Requirements:

• Active Kansas RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Prior inpatient acute care experience (required)
• Competency in basic dysrhythmias (required)
• BLS certification
• Experience with NIHSS assessments
• Trauma center experience preferred
