Staff Accountant | AP/AR

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Staff Accountant (AP/AR Specialist) to support our finance team. This position is responsible for overseeing both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established procedures. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work comfortably with financial systems and data. Primary Responsibilities Reconcile corporate credit card activity and ensure transactions are accurately recorded Complete bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner Post customer payments and actively monitor aging reports to support timely collections Serve as a point of contact for vendor and customer inquiries, responding promptly and professionally Maintain thorough and up-to-date records for vendor and customer accounts Process accounts payable invoices and ensure payments are issued accurately and on schedule Review AP and AR reports to identify trends, exceptions, or inconsistencies Support month-end and year-end close efforts, including journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation Partner with payroll teams as needed (payroll exposure is a plus) Provide bilingual communication support when applicable (Spanish language skills are a plus) Required Skills & Qualifications Hands‑on experience using QuickBooks Desktop for accounts payable and receivable functions Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including data review and reporting Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite , including Word and Outlook Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills Effective written and verbal communication capabilities Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting payroll processes Bilingual in English and Spanish Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting or a related field #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
