Job Title: Surgical Specialty Clinic RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Outpatient Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1 year of experience required License: Valid SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Ambulatory experience Description: This position is for a Surgical Specialty unit specializing in oncology, vascular, interventional radiology, and genetics. The role involves pre/post-op appointments and minor in-office bedside procedures. The shift is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There is no weekend or on-call requirement. Travelers will need to float within scope to meet facility needs as necessary. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. The facility allows calling off one shift every two weeks. In compliance with local rules, candidates from a 60-mile radius may be prioritized based on facility needs. Candidates previously employed must be separated for one year before returning. Candidates with pending licenses will still be considered, provided they can confirm the application process. Travelers will not be cleared to report until the license is active. All labs must be completed promptly as outlined in the compliance protocol. Modules take an average of four hours to complete and are non-billable. Each sentence in this description is structured for clarity and readability.
