Mechanical Quality Control Inspector
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Overtime: Available

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Quality Control Inspector to help ensure manufactured products consistently meet customer specifications and quality standards.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a detail-oriented quality professional who enjoys working with precision measurement equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and having a direct impact on product quality.
What You’ll Do
- Perform mechanical inspections using established quality standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, customer specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Use precision inspection equipment including optical comparators, micrometers, OGP systems, tensile/hardness testers, and Go/No-Go gauges.
- Conduct first inspections on new or revised parts before production release.
- Verify dimensional accuracy and product conformity throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify, document, and control nonconforming material.
- Maintain inspection records, lot traceability, and quality documentation.
- Support SPC activities, including X-Bar/R charts and Cp/Cpk analysis.
- Communicate quality concerns and help identify effective corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and overall manufacturing quality.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree, trade-school training, or apprenticeship is a plus.
- 5+ years of mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Experience using inspection and measurement equipment.
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9000, QS 9000, AS9100, or TL 9000 is preferred.
- Knowledge of environmental management systems such as ISO 14000 is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A safety-focused, accountable, and self-motivated approach to work.

Work Environment
You’ll work in a manufacturing environment adjacent to the production floor. The role requires awareness of moving equipment, vehicles, electrical equipment, elevated temperatures, and chemicals. A strong commitment to workplace safety and situational awareness is essential.
