Details Work in the Surgery Recovery Room (PACU) of a hospital setting Provides post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical and diagnostic procedures Shift schedule from 09:00 to 21:30 13-week assignment length Requirements Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both AHA-issued Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required Graduation from an accredited nursing program required, BSN preferred PACU, ICU, critical-care, ED, or perioperative experience preferred Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills required Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Additional Information Monitor patients closely during the immediate post-anesthesia period, managing pain, nausea, and identifying complications Serve as a primary coordinator among disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care Implement and monitor patient care plans, carrying out physician and nursing orders Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required Work independently in a fast-paced, stressful environment requiring critical thinking and decisive judgment Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location Full SSN and DOB required for consideration, along with a copy of driver's license and two separate references American Traveler Job ID P-749331.
