For more information about the company, please visit Position Purpose and Objectives The Sr Commercial Banking Officer is responsible for calling on business banking clients for depository, lending, and fee-based opportunities in the Bank’s market. This position will have C&I, Commercial Real Estate and Depository production and growth goals. Targeted clients will be companies with $3 million to $15 million and higher in annual revenue. Min. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years banking experience with at least 5 years of direct business lending experience required. Demonstrates strong knowledge and ability in underwriting business loans involving commercial real estate, accounts receivable, inventory, and equipment. Previous experience with working capital lines of credit and letters of credit. Previous experience working with the Small Business Administration and their various loan programs. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office based computer applications. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Primarily focused on new business development by sourcing, developing, and documenting calls on prospective customers and referral sources. Manage commercial banking relationships, including analyzing business financials, having a detailed understanding of the business and their income statement and balance sheet. Negotiate, structure, price, document, and close commercial loan transactions of moderate complexity with minimal guidance with terms acceptable to the bank and client. Work closely with Treasury Management to identify and structure depository opportunities. Management of portfolio delinquencies within assigned and/or developed portfolio. Work closely with associates with Merchant Services and Credit Card to develop opportunities. Be involved in the community through volunteerism on civic and non-profit boards. Support the collection of past due loans. Obtain annual financial statements for commercial credit analyst’s evaluation. Respond to referrals from Senior Management of the Bank, and the company and others. Maintain and enhance the relationships with the Bank's customers and referral sources. Responsible for cross selling all company products and services. Learn the credit culture of Republic Bank in order to present appropriate credits for approval. Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required. Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned. Interpersonal Skills and Competencies Required Excellent verbal and written communications skills for effective interactions with clients to meet financial investment objectives. Must have the ability to understand financial analysis and effectively communicate with clients and senior management. Must be self-motivated and work in a team environment. Requires a high energy level and strong sense of urgency. Must demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to recommend practical ways using innovation, good judgment, creativity, and strategic thinking.
