Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel PACU Registered Nurse (RN) - 13-Week Contract Schedule This position requires 12-hour night shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM, over the course of three nights weekly, including weekends. Job Description The PACU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Nurses in this role will monitor patients undergoing recovery after anesthesia, manage post-operative symptoms, and ensure the safety and comfort of patients during their recovery period. Responsibilities Monitor patient vitals and level of consciousness during recovery from anesthesia. Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per physician orders. Assess and document patient progress and any changes in their condition. Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and symptoms to monitor. Coordinate with surgical teams and other medical professionals to ensure effective patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active RN license is required.
