Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a hospital-based Emergency Department, managing acute patient needs and performing emergency procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and determine priority for care.
• Administer medications, perform IV insertions, EKGs, and wound care in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Monitor patient status, update electronic medical records, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing life-saving equipment such as LifePak, Lucas, and Philips devices.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care ED experience.
• Must hold BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC, and ENPC certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR and emergency procedures.
• Possess strong assessment, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
