Location: Whiteville, NC
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
Hours: Schedule may vary based on business needs and tax season

Pay: $12.00-$14.00 depending on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Office Assistant to join our team in Whiteville, NC. This position will provide general office support, assist customers, answer phones, and help prepare tax returns. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with computers, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to communicate professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls
• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Provide general office and administrative support
• Enter and maintain customer information accurately
• Use computer systems and office software
• Assist with tax preparation and related paperwork
• Answer basic customer questions regarding tax services
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information
• Keep the office organized and professional
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Strong computer skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Professional and friendly attitude
• Ability to answer phones and work directly with customers
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic tax knowledge or previous tax preparation experience preferred
• Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM and Saturdays, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM, with hours varying based on business needs
• Background check and drug test required
