Title: Quality Manager

Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $75K – $85K depending on experience

Location : Willoughby

Position Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and continuous improvement of the quality system throughout the Company. Is also responsible for constantly monitoring the effectiveness of the quality program, consult with the Executive Staff and make agreed modifications and corrective actions as necessary to maintain the quality system certifications.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and modify as needed, Company quality systems manual and related procedures with responsibilities for all parties involved with customer requirements and company objectives
• Manage and continue to develop an inspection department including equipment, systems, and personnel to adequately inspect the necessary products at varying frequencies to meet quality and economic objectives
• Manage the coordination of required audits to maintain both ISO and AS9100 certifications
• Schedule and conduct management review meetings to ensure all required activities related to ISO and AS9100 certification are completed on time with a focus on continuous improvement
• Establish and maintain a reporting system and document file based on the Company quantity manual to appropriately record and control all required information, including certifications and calibrations
• Coordinate with Material Management on the Supplier Management Program including procedures the vendor must perform, and a system of inspection and controls upon receipt, to verify vendor goods meet the requirements of Company
• Assume primary responsibilities (in cooperation with Materials Manager) to resolve vendor problems and requests
• Assume primary responsibility (in coordination with the Executive Vice President and Account Managers) to resolve customer problems and requests
• Cooperate with the toolroom in sharing equipment and manpower to inspect tooling and product as necessary
• Collaborate with plant supervision to economically meet established schedules and customer requirements based on priorities determined by management and customer service
• Manage all quality technician training programs and provide training to other employees on inspection processes along with quality
