Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician: hiring 3 urgently!

Location: Madison, WI
Employment Type: 1-year contract (with possibility of extension based on performance) – On-Site
Shift: Shift D
Pay: $26- $28.00/hour - Weekly pay!

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations for our client in Madison, WI. This hands-on position is ideal for candidates with pharmaceutical, chemical, or related production experience who are comfortable working in a highly regulated cGMP manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will operate production equipment, follow batch records and established procedures, maintain strict safety and cleanliness standards, and support the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates.

Important: This is a temporary position. Candidates interested in remaining with the organization after completing the contract will need to apply for an available position on a different shift and should discuss potential opportunities with their direct supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary or secondary operator supporting cGMP production of APIs and intermediates.
• Operate production equipment safely and effectively during manufacturing, cleaning, and maintenance activities.
• Follow written procedures, batch records, operating procedures, and established manufacturing protocols.
• Consistently follow and promote proper safety procedures and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain clean and safe production areas while following proper potent-compound handling techniques.
• Communicate production status and critical information through established shift pass-off processes.
• Identify and correct safety and process gaps discovered through routine inspections and audits.
• Work effectively in a team-based, multi-shift manufacturing environment.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization within production areas.
• Support additional departmental activities and assignments as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related Life Science field; OR
• High School Diploma/GED with relevant manufacturing experience.

Experience:

• 2+ years of pharmaceutical, chemical, or related production manufacturing experience.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read, understand, and accurately follow written protocols and manufacturing procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and email.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, calculators, and weighing/measuring equipment.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with equipment or teammate assistance when necessary.
• Willingness and ability to work with highly potent and/or hazardous materials.

PPE Requirements:

Candidates must be able to properly use required PPE, which may include respiratory protection such as dust masks, half/full-face respirators, or supplied-air systems; company-issued work uniforms; lab coats; and full-body protective equipment such as disposable coveralls or hazmat suits.

• Pay Rate: $28.00/hour

This position is a 1-year contract. Upon completion of the contract, individuals interested in continuing with the organization will need to apply for an available position on a different shift and discuss available opportunities with their direct supervisor.
