Machinist (Manual & CNC)
Location: Waco, TX
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM
Pay: $20.00-$22.00/hour, DOE
Position Type: Full-Time
Crouch Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a manufacturing company in Waco, TX. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on CNC machining experience who is comfortable performing machine setups, reading engineering drawings, working with CNC programs, and inspecting finished parts for accuracy.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining centers, including mills and lathes, as well as manual machining equipment.
- Perform machine setups and prepare equipment for production runs.
- Read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Read and understand basic CNC terminology, including M-codes and G-codes.
- Make and revise CNC programs manually and/or directly at the machine.
- Perform machining processes including drilling, milling, tapping, boring, and turning.
- Inspect completed work using precision measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
- Run a variety of production jobs while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and assist with routine machine maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or machining certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operating experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of CNC machining terminology and basic G-code/M-code concepts.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
