Senior ServiceNow Consultant

Description:
We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to design, build, and scale ServiceNow solutions supporting a large, enterprise-wide user base. This role focuses heavily on Asset Management and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) architecture, ensuring accurate, reliable, and governed IT asset and configuration data across the enterprise. Experience supporting data center environments is strongly preferred.



Key Responsibilities"

• Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow ITAM (IT Asset Management) and CMDB modules to support enterprise-scale operations
• Own CMDB data quality, CI class modeling, relationship mapping, and reconciliation processes across discovery sources
• Implement and maintain Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations feeding CMDB/ITAM (e.g., SCCM, network discovery, cloud/on-prem inventory tools)
• Partner with infrastructure, data center, and operations teams to ensure accurate lifecycle tracking of hardware, software, and data center assets
• Develop and enforce CMDB governance policies, data certification, and health dashboards
• Build custom applications, workflows, business rules, and integrations within ServiceNow to support asset lifecycle and ITSM processes
• Support user populations with high availability and performance requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues, including performance tuning and upgrade impact analysis
• Mentor developers/administrators and contribute to best practices and platform standards

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development/administration experience
• Deep expertise in ServiceNow Asset Management (Hardware/Software Asset Management) and CMDB modules
• Strong understanding of CI classes, CI relationships, discovery patterns, and reconciliation identification rules
• Proven experience supporting enterprise environments with large, complex user bases
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and integration frameworks (REST/SOAP, MID Server)
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, ACLs)
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, Configuration Management)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Must be based in or willing to work core hours aligned to Pacific Time Zone
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with data center asset management, including physical asset tracking, rack/power/space management, and data center lifecycle processes
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-HAM/SAM, CIS-Discovery, CIS-CMDB)
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools
• Familiarity with cloud asset management (AWS/Azure/GCP) alongside on-prem data center assets
• Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades, performance optimization, and scaled architecture
• Background in Software Asset Management (SAM) licensing and compliance
