Mass Spectrometry and Field Geochemistry Technician

Role Description DataLog is seeking a full-time Field Geochemistry and Mass Spectrometry Technician to help our clients get accurate and reliable data. The role is located in Houston, TX, but includes some remote work flexibility and travel to various field locations. Field Geochemistry and Mass Spectrometry Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining mass spectrometry equipment. Additionally, the Field Geochemistry and Mass Spectrometry Technician will be responsible for ensuring timely and quality field repairs, educating clients and DataLog field personnel about equipment best practices, and collaborating with internal teams to provide customers with the best possible service. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in field service or support of mass spectrometry equipment In-depth knowledge of mass spectrometry hardware and software systems Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment and train field staff Prior experience with client-facing roles Willingness to travel to client locations as needed Employees must be eligible to work in the United States, able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds to the height of 5ft, bend, reach, be able to walk up and down flights of stairs, sit or stand for long periods of time.
