Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) is a travel assignment in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, starting 08/18/2026 for 13 weeks. The position offers a weekly pay range of $2,720 to $2,766 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shifts are 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule (3x12), with rotating weekends and on-call rotation. This hospital-based role supports a Family Birth Place team providing couplet care across OR, PACU, and postpartum areas, with an evolving volume of deliveries in the Western Colorado region.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring patients, newborns, and postpartum families; support couplet care within the L&D team
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, assist with labor and delivery, and manage post-delivery recovery as needed
- Collaborate with OR, PACU, postpartum, and nursing teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care and smooth patient flow
- Assume RN Charge responsibilities when assigned, coordinating shift operations, delegating tasks, and maintaining unit safety standards
- Educate patients and families on care plans, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning
- Participate in call rotations and adjust to staffing needs as volume fluctuates toward projections of 80+ deliveries per month

Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license to practice in Colorado
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification
- NRP certification
- Flu vaccine required
- RN Charge experience required
- Ability to work in a hospital labor and delivery setting, with comfort in a fast-paced, team-based environment
