Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and individual needs.

• Develop, implement, and review personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidenced-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing their experiences and enhancing their coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to create an integrated care plan for each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families on managing trauma responses and identifying coping mechanisms while connecting them to appropriate resources.

• Maintain consistent, accurate, and confidential documentation as per legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and refine treatment strategies.

• Stay informed of the latest developments in trauma therapy to provide cutting-edge treatment options.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our therapists work primarily with trauma survivors who may be struggling with the consequences of severe emotional and psychological distress. You will play a critical role in providing therapeutic guidance to individuals traumatized by adverse life events, enhancing their ability to heal and regain control of their lives. Your work will directly contribute to our patients’ ability to rebuild their lives, fostering resilience in the wake of trauma.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is required.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in trauma-focused therapy.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment methodologies.

• Experience in implementing trauma-focused therapies tailored to meet the diverse needs of clients.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, exhibiting empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental stance towards clients.

• A capacity to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

• A collaborative spirit and willingness to engage positively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience are required, candidates with additional experience and training in trauma-specific interventions will be viewed favorably. A background in diverse clinical settings will enhance your ability to connect with and support our trauma-affected clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n
