Urology experience a plus.**What You’ll Be Doing*** Will keep lines of communication open with the Supervisor.* Submitting accurate and timely medical claims to insurance companies.* Following up on unpaid or underpaid claims to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.* Identifying and resolving claim denials and rejections, including researching issues and resubmitting claims.* Maintains all patient information according to the established patient confidentiality policy.* Maintains compliance with all governmental and regulatory requirements.* Responsible for completing, in a timely manner, all mandated training and in-services, including but not limited to annual OSHA training and PPD placements.* Responsible for working Accounts Receivable (AR) for assigned providers/ insurance.* Performs all other duties as assigned.**What We Expect from You*** High School Graduate or equivalent* Minimum of two (2) years related medical billing experience is required* Experience with denial management and appeals* Strong knowledge of insurance processes* Familiar with ICD10 and HCPCS codes* Experience with EMR/ EHR systems* Proficient in Microsoft Excel**Reasoning Ability**Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.**Computer Skills**To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
