Field Service Technician

We are seeking an Installation and Service Technician to work in retail stores, installing and repairing inventory control and video equipment. Benefits Competitive pay and bonus plan. What you will do Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on retail products and equipment at customer sites. Keep track of service calls via computer, including products serviced, work performed, hours, and parts utilized. Maintain accurate parts inventory to ensure a first‑time fix. Demonstrate and train customers how to use their equipment properly. Keep your manager informed about customer satisfaction, sales opportunities, and recurring problems. Complete other tasks as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or equivalent technical military training. Valid driver’s license. At least 3 years of prior work experience in a related field. Completed basic EAS and Video training and certifications. Highly organized, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. General knowledge of electronics. Willingness to obtain or possess a state license as required (state dependent). Mechanical aptitude; ability to use hand and power tools. Physical ability to carry and move equipment and tools up to 50–70 lbs. Ability to work in unusual positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high‑lift equipment up to 40 feet, within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings. Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and rapid learning ability. Capability to work independently or as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Availability to travel and work overtime as needed. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and scope documents. Certification in all Video & RFID solutions currently sold and serviced in retail – preferred. Network certification with full competency in all required networking and advanced performance. Networking Fundamentals Networking Fundamentals Part One: Network Addresses. TRS – Networking 101. Ability to mentor and train others. Ability to perform service on complete integrated solutions. Hiring Hourly Range $36–$50 per hour. The hourly rate is determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market alignment. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
