Medical AssistantTrinity Employment Specialists – Tulsa, OKSchedule: Monday–Friday | Day ShiftCompensation: $17–$19/hour DOE | Temp-to-HirePosition SummaryTrinity Employment Specialists is seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join a busy and growing medical practice in Tulsa. The ideal candidate will have excellent patient care skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position offers the opportunity to become a permanent member of a well-established healthcare team.Medical Assistant ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.Review daily schedules and assist with maintaining efficient patient flow.Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and provider-requested screenings.Assist providers during examinations and procedures, including documentation and charting as needed.Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.Collect specimens and prepare them for laboratory testing.Perform telephone triage and communicate patient concerns to providers.Provide patients and families with instructions regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care.Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient questions professionally.Verify prescriptions according to physician orders.Request and obtain medical records, laboratory reports, imaging results, hospital documentation, and referral information.Complete forms, prior authorizations, and other clinical documentation as needed.Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals.Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures.Verify insurance information, patient demographics, and maintain accurate electronic medical records.Ensure medical records are complete, organized, and compliant with HIPAA regulations.Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms while following OSHA infection control guidelines.Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.Minimum of one year of recent Medical Assistant experience in a physician office or clinic preferred.
