Mental Health Therapist

Embracing Wellness PLLC is a Black woman-owned, trauma-informed, holistic therapy practice serving clients across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We specialize in culturally responsive mental health care with a focus on supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrant, and marginalized communities. Role Description This is a full or part-time remote role for a Therapist at Embracing Wellness PLLC. The therapist will : Provide high-quality, trauma-informed virtual psychotherapy. Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Maintain timely, accurate documentation in SimplePractice (EHR). Use standardized measures to track client progress as clinically indicated. Participate in team meetings, supervision, and case consultation. Collaborate with psychiatrists, PMHNPs, PCPs, and community providers. Contribute to practice-wide quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Active licensure in DC, MD, and/or VA. Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology. Trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive. Experience with BIPOC, immigrant, LGBTQIA+ communities preferred. Comfortable with telehealth & technology. Demonstrated history of strong professional accountability, punctuality, and respect for scheduling commitments. Capacity for autonomous, professional judgment, and predictable communication under pressure. Committed to ethical, anti-oppressive care. Successful background & reference check required.
