Job Title: Freelance Remote Interpreter (ASL / English) Location: 100% Remote | Type: Freelance/Independent Contractor | Schedule: Flexible
Job SummaryWe are seeking fluent bilingual speakers to provide Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI). No prior experience is required—we provide full training. If you have strong language skills and a professional attitude, join us to bridge critical communication gaps in moments that matter.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate, real-time consecutive interpretation (English+ASL).
- Facilitate clear communication in high-stakes settings (e.g., healthcare, legal).
- Maintain strict confidentiality, neutrality, and professionalism.
- Manage your own schedule and log in reliably to handle calls.
- Language: Native or near-native fluency in English and ASL.
- Skills: Strong active listening, cultural sensitivity, and emotional resilience.
- Experience: Beginners welcome; prior interpreting experience is a plus.
- Workspace: A quiet, distraction-free home environment.
- Tech Setup: Dedicated computer, high-speed internet (wired preferred for VRI), and a noise-canceling USB headset.
