The pay range for this role is based on experience, certifications, and leadership background. With overtime and emergency response opportunities, motivated team members can earn an additional $3,000–$10,000 annually in overtime pay.Competitive PerksCompetitive Pay401(k) with Company Match50% of Medical Insurance Costs Covered by EmployerCompany-Paid IICRC Certifications & Continuing Education (including renewals)Career Growth & Advancement OpportunitiesHands-On Leadership DevelopmentOpportunity for Overtime & Emergency Response IncentivesSupportive Team-Oriented EnvironmentPosition SummaryThe Lead Emergency Services Technician plays a critical leadership role within the mitigation and restoration department, overseeing technicians in the field while actively participating in water mitigation, mold remediation, structural drying, demolition, and emergency response services.This role is responsible for helping manage day-to-day job site operations, ensuring work is completed according to IICRC standards and company procedures, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting technicians through leadership and training in the field.This is a hands-on leadership role — not a desk position. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading crews while actively working alongside the team during emergency response and mitigation projects.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead and manage small or large mitigation teams safely and effectively throughout restoration projectsRespond to emergency losses involving water, mold, fire, storm, and other property damagePerform and oversee water mitigation services according to IICRC standards and Rainbow processesBecome proficient in and help train technicians on structural drying, mold remediation, containment setup, demolition, and disaster cleanupDemonstrate strong technical knowledge regarding restoration procedures and mitigation best practicesOperate restoration equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, extraction units, moisture meters, and HEPA filtration systemsPerform moisture mapping, job scoping, equipment calculations, photos, and required documentation for projectsMonitor drying progress and maintain accurate moisture documentation and equipment trackingEstablish and maintain schedules to ensure services are delivered efficiently and on timeCommunicate professionally with customers regarding scope of work, expectations, timelines, and documentationMaintain accurate job documentation including notes, photos, sketches, moisture logs, and equipment countsIdentify safety hazards, communicate risks, and establish measures to ensure the safety of occupants, technicians, and job sitesPrepare rooms and work areas for mitigation activities including containment setup, staging areas, and equipment placementInventory and load vehicles with equipment, products, and supplies needed for projectsEnsure job sites remain clean, safe, organized, and compliant with OSHA standards and company proceduresSupport quality control efforts and ensure technicians are following proper restoration processes, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling guidelinesMaintain company vehicles, tools, and restoration equipment to ensure operational readinessAssist with on-the-job training, mentorship, and development of techniciansParticipate in emergency on-call rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands requireTravel throughout the state with potential overnight stays when needed to support operationsCross-train in related restoration services including contents cleaning, carpet cleaning, and reconstruction supportPerform additional operational duties and emergency response tasks as assignedRequirements & SkillsDirect restoration experience requiredIICRC Certifications preferred including WRT, ASD, and/or AMRTStrong understanding of water mitigation, structural drying, and mold remediation processesLeadership, crew lead, or supervisory experience preferredCommitment to excellent customer service, attention to detail, and technical quality standardsNot afraid to roll up your sleeves and get dirtyStrong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitudeExcellent communication, leadership, and customer service skillsAbility to lead by example and support technicians in fast-paced environmentsComfortable working in emergency response situations and changing conditionsAbility to work independently while also leading and supporting a teamEagerness to learn and grow within the Restoration IndustryValid Driver’s License with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a drug test and extensive background screeningAbility to lift and/or move up to 100 poundsComfortable standing, walking, climbing, bending, and working at elevated heights or in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics while wearing PPEComfortable working around demolition debris, moisture-damaged materials, and varying environmental conditionsAbility to work overtime, participate in on-call rotations, and travel statewide as neededWhy Join Rainbow Restoration?At Rainbow Restoration, we believe in investing in our employees and creating long-term career opportunities.
