HIM Specialist

To support outstanding patient care, the full-time HIM Specialist will manage the preparation and maintenance of medical records, including tracking, assembling, and scanning documents, while working remotely in Florida. Key responsibilities: Assemble and audit admissions paperwork to establish and maintain accurate medical records Ensure timely processing of physician signatures and complete audits of medical records for discharged and deceased patients Supervise volunteers in the HIM office and assist with medical record reviews and requests from clinical staff Required qualifications: At least 2 years of general office experience in a healthcare facility; medical record experience preferred High school diploma required; college courses or a degree preferred Basic knowledge of medical terminology Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
