Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving both short-term and long-term enhance communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities.
• Engage in focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing fluency, voice, language, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and family members to establish cohesive care strategies.
• Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families to ensure continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional evaluations and sessions in inpatient scenarios, maintaining seamless continuity of patient care.
• Uphold precise documentation practices that adhere to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through education and collaborative opportunities with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in California.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
