Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both formal assessments and observational strategies.
  • Create tailored treatment programs aimed at achieving both immediate and sustained communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver direct speech therapy services that focus on a spectrum of skills including communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functionality.
  • Work in partnership with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and doctors to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and families to encourage ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to ensure a consistent and seamless care experience.
  • Document patient progress accurately and promptly, adhering to all regulatory and insurance requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional collaboration to stay at the forefront of advancements in the field.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet possessing ASHA certification.
Certifications
  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Outstanding communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and fellow professionals.
  • Ability to customize therapy approaches considering various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Exceptional clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation procedures.
