Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer (Mission Critical/Data Centers) About the Role AHA Consulting Engineers is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and cooling system design for mission-critical facilities, including data centers. This role combines hands-on engineering, project leadership, client interaction, and team mentorship. Responsibilities Design HVAC and mechanical systems for data centers and other mission-critical facilities Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection Develop construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports Manage project schedules, budgets, and client relationships Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and multidisciplinary teams Review designs, mentor junior engineers, and support QA/QC efforts Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 8+ years of MEP consulting experience Project leadership experience Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, and/or Trane Trace Excellent communication and client-facing skills Preferred PE License (not required) Data Center or Mission Critical experience Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards LEED or sustainability experience Experience mentoring engineers Why Join AHA?
