The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set. As a Senior Specialist, Import Customs Compliance at RXO, you will serve as a subject matter expert for import customs regulations and compliance programs. You will support Customs Brokerage operations by monitoring compliance, providing regulatory guidance, conducting training, and identifying opportunities to reduce risk while ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements. What your day-to-day will look like: Serve as the subject matter expert for import customs compliance matters across the organization Monitor import entry activities to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations Provide guidance on entry processing, tariff classification, valuation, and admissibility requirements Oversee and support compliance programs related to in-bond movements and Importer Security Filings (ISF) Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and investigations to identify and mitigate regulatory risks Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and standard operating processes Prepare and distribute regulatory updates, compliance bulletins, and customer communications Partner with operations, sales, and customers to address import compliance questions and concerns Deliver internal, cross-functional, and customer-facings training programs on customs compliance topics Monitor regulatory changes and communicate operational impacts and required actions Support CBP audits, compliance reviews, prior disclosures, and corrective action initiatives Maintain compliance reporting and provide recommendations for continuous improvement At a minimum, you\'ll need: Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 years of customs brokerage, customs compliance, or international trade experience Strong knowledge of customs entry procedures and CBP regulations Experience with Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills It\'d be great if you also have: Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) Experience with in-bond administration and ISF compliance Experience conducting compliance audits and regulatory reviews Knowledge of tariff classification and import compliance programs Experience developing and delivering training programs Strong project management and problem-solving skills Competitive pay Paid time off includes: up to 8 holidays, up to 2 floating Diversity Days, Hourly: Earn up to 13 days PTO/ Salary: Earn up to 15 days PTO, up to 40 hours bereavement leave, up to 16 hours volunteer time, jury duty, at least 2 weeks family bonding leave, up to 40 hours prenatal care leave 401(k) retirement plan with up to 5% company match Insurance: health, prescription, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life, short and long-term disability, accidental death and personal loss, business travel, legal services, ID theft, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Tax-Advantaged Accounts: Health Savings Account, Health Care Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, Commuter Spending Account Health Reimbursement Arrangement Our Culture Our values are the key to our unique culture and our ability to deliver for everyone we serve.
