Why join us Competitive Compensation: Base salary DOE + bonuses (range not specified in JD, confirm with client) 401(k) with Generous Match Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance Generous PTO & Paid Holidays Collaborative Work Environment: Direct exposure to partners, hands on mentorship of junior staff, and a genuinely team oriented culture rather than a siloed one Diverse Client Base: Broad exposure across individuals, partnerships, S corps, C corps, and trusts and estates work Work-Life Balance: Hybrid schedule, 4 days onsite and 1 remote day each week Established Firm: Locally owned since 1971 with deep roots in the Northwest Indiana and South Chicago suburbs market Job Details Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corps, C corps, and trusts/estates Perform tax research and resolve complex tax issues as they come up Assist with year round tax planning and consulting for clients Review work prepared by junior staff and provide coaching and mentorship Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, proactive communication Coordinate multiple engagements simultaneously while hitting deadlines during busy season Collaborate directly with partners on planning opportunities and special projectsStay current on changes in federal and state tax law Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required Minimum 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience, with a focus on business and individual returns Strong experience or background in partnership, S corporation, and individual taxation Experience with trusts and estates is a plus, though not required CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and shifting priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Excellent communication and client service skills, since this role has direct client contact Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
