About the Accounts Payable Specialist Role
The Accounts Payable Specialist will own the full A/P lifecycle from start to finish, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, timelines are met, and strong relationships are maintained with internal partners and external vendors. If you enjoy fast-paced work, solving problems, and stepping in wherever needed to support the broader accounting function, this role offers both challenge and growth.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist

• Manage the complete, endtoend Accounts Payable cycle-from invoice intake and OCR upload to coding, approvals, payment processing, and check runs
• Monitor workflows, troubleshoot issues, and partner with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
• Support monthend close, including ensuring invoices are recorded or accrued in alignment with accounting deadlines
• Assist with 1099 preparation and reporting
• Provide crosstraining and backup support for related accounting and operational responsibilities

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist
The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will bring:

• A high school diploma or equivalent (coursework in accounting or finance preferred)
• Handson experience with fullcycle A/P
• Experience with Great Plains, Business Central, or Dynamics strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using Excel (sorting, filtering, simple lookups) with an eagerness to learn new systems and tools
• OCR experience a plus
