Job Title

RN (Registered Nurse) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Prescott, AZ | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 49-bed Cardiac/Medical Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, post-cath, CVA/TIA, and total joint replacement
• Interpret and sign telemetry strips at least once per shift , working alongside Monitor Techs on the unit
• Manage set-rate drips including Diltiazem/Cardizem; titration of drips is not required
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and administer breathing treatments
• Float as needed to an alternate campus and potentially to a PCU setting if qualified

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Arizona
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips
• Prior experience with CVA and TIA patient populations
• Cerner EMR experience strongly recommended due to limited unit orientation (1 shift)
• Total joint replacement nursing experience
