Gastroenterology Physician

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join their team in Medford, MA. As a member of the Optum Care Delivery team, you will contribute to making healthcare better for everyone by utilizing clinical resources, data, and support from a global organization. This role offers the opportunity to advance community health and contribute new practice ideas within a clinician-led care organization. Practice medicine autonomously in an ambulatory setting partnering with primary care Atrius Health is a physician-led healthcare leader nationally recognized for transforming healthcare through clinical innovations, quality improvement, and a commitment to value-based care Delivers an effective system of connected care at practice locations in eastern and central Massachusetts Emphasizes a team-based delivery model, where primary & specialty care providers collaborate with hospital partners, community specialists, and skilled nursing facilities Develop and implement a plan of care for these patients, as well as prescribe medications, exercises, and/or other treatments Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care Maintain continuity of care through the exchange of information with outside health and social agencies Serve as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists such as general surgeons, urologists, orthopedic and ENT surgeons Consult with primary care providers on issues related to patient care Teach and counsel individuals and groups with regard to specific health care needs Participate in the development of health education programs Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role Equity stock purchase ~Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Gastroenterology Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations
