Job TitleStarting Date: 2026-2027 School YearReports To: Supervisor of Special Education ServicesWork Year: 185 days as per Board-adopted calendarSalary Range: Appropriate step on salary schedule - commensurate with experienceQualifications Include But Not Limited To:High School DiplomaVan certification to transport students for community-based instructionAbility to instruct high school students with disabilities on job and employability skills at a worksiteAbility to prioritize multiple tasksProficiency with technologyEffective planning, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent oral and written communications skillsDemonstrated understanding of Ohio's graduation expectations and of Ohio Career Technical / Academic Content StandardsAbility to develop positive working relationships with students, staff and area employersThree years successful work experienceExperience working with people with disabilities is preferredDocumented evidence of a clear criminal recordMaintain a valid driver's license; meet all prerequisite and ongoing qualifications to be covered by District's insurance carrierResponsibilities Include But Not Limited To:Develop a job analysis for each job and environment assigned. Revisions expected according to students need and business needProvide on-the-job training for the students using differentiated instructional techniquesProvide supervision for students at school and business siteConsult with business and co-workers regarding issues related to essential job functions in relation to studentsEstablish and maintain positive rapport with supervisory personnel and coordinate efforts with the administration of the program and the host industrial/business siteMaintain ongoing communication with the administration, business site, students, and families of the studentsComplete all required documentation per established procedureMust meet driving requirements to transport students to and from job sites in a safe and lawful mannerObtain van certification and may be requested to obtain CDLObtain an Educational Aide certificateActively assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulation and Board PolicyEstablish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parent/guardian concerning classroom performance and behaviorUtilize Board approved course of study as the basis for instructionWork under the guidelines of Penta's Mission Statement and goalsAttend district and state professional development eventsRemain free of any non-prescribed controlled substance or alcohol abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the districtAssume any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, Career Technical Director, Supervisor, or their designee(s)Deadline: Open until filled.To Apply: Submit letter of interest, application, transcripts, and résumé at Career Center hereby gives notice that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, national origin, ancestry, religion, disability/handicap, age, citizenship status, or veteran status in its educational programs, activities, employment policies, or admission policies and practices, as required by law.
