About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in acute care License: Must have MI license in hand Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: Epic charting experience Description: Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg/Tele and Med Surg. Every other weekend required. Medication system Pyxis experience required. Telemetry experience necessary. ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications required. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. Unit accepts first-time travelers. No local travelers within 50 miles. Floating to other units and/or facilities, if needed, is an expectation. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census and other facility-specific details will vary. Candidates must have skills in central line care/management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and management of dysrhythmias. Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs and telemetry is required. References are required from within the last 24 months.
