Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts (1845-0715), 36 hours per week, 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Highlights:

• Specialized orthopedic surgical unit focusing on total joint replacements and spinal procedures
• 48-bed unit with average daily census of 34 patients
• 13-week assignment with no call requirement
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Primary patient population includes total knee/hip replacements, spinal fusions, hip fractures, and orthopedic trauma cases
• Experience with wound vacs, drains, and telemetry monitoring required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Medical Surgical/Telemetry skills including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Proficiency in peripheral line care/management and respiratory support (nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management)
• Experience with isolation precautions, PPE, and rapid response/code team protocols
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• First-time travelers accepted
