Job Title: Registered Nurse I Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year Hospice experience, depending on the specialty. License: Must have a valid nursing license in hand. Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: - Proficiency in OASIS and HomeCare HomeBase within the last 6 months. - Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and agency-required liability insurance. - Willingness to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic. Description: Provides, coordinates, and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physicians' orders. Care is based on agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process. Responsible to Clinical Manager. Directly supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. Home visits and periodic office meetings are required. The average number of patients per day is 5 to 8. Contractor is assigned between 5 to 10 patients per day, equating to roughly 6 to 8 points. Types of cases include start of care, wound care, follow-up visits, etc. Candidates are not accepted without recent specialty experience. The clinician will need to accept all patients on their schedule, regardless of distance from previous appointments. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. There are no guaranteed hours with this contract. Clinician must hit weekly productivity points of 30, which equates to 40 hours per week. If there is a low patient census, the contractor may discuss floating to another clinic to pick up hours. The position may include on-call responsibilities. Candidates must confirm they are comfortable with travel that could result in longer drives between patients. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Pending licenses are not accepted; applicants must have their license in hand.
